The main concept of the HSC-SC is the coupling of the video data with a measurement and control process in the same device. HSC-SC is not a traditional technical high-speed video camera, as it has a compact universal I/O controller with 8 I/O SPI channels on board. These independent channels can work simultaneously, and two of these independent SPI channels can each be connected to one of up to 4 devices. Each channel has its own high-speed digital isolation (up to 100 Mbit). The 8 SPI channels are divided into three groups (3-3-2), while each group has its own dedicated galvanic isolated power supply 3.3 V or 5.0 V. Additionally, the HSC-SC provides 16 non-isolated GPIO.
The connection to an external signal source and actuating device is realized via an external application board, depending on the customer’s application. For connecting the image sensor board, there are up to 18 LVDS input channels. An additional sensor control can be realized via the shared 16 GPIO channels. The HSC-SC is equipped with the image sensors CMV2000, CMV4000, while other sensors are optional.
The external interface is realized via a PCIE x1 Gen1 and can be connected via an external cabling to a notebook/desktop or via internal a high speed flat cable to an embedded computer.
The HSC-SC camera allows implementation of:
High quality and high speed (up 10 Mega samples/s) data acquisition on isolated and simultaneously running channels;
Output high speed isolated signals;
Input-Output signal can be synchronized with video data;
PCIE interface & embedded computer allows handling linked data/images/control with a low latency and good time determination.
Embedded Computer on board has external interfaces, such as local large format LCD, 1 Gb Ethernet, USB.
