Precise contact angle analysis for advanced surface characterization.

The CA-1M combines high-resolution optical imaging with precision mechanics to determine static and dynamic contact angles on solid surfaces. By accurately evaluating the shape of sessile drops, the system provides quantitative information about wettability, surface cleanliness and surface free energy.

An industrial CMOS camera, precision manual x/y/z positioning stage and stable liquid dispensing system ensure reproducible measurements for research, material development and industrial quality control.

Measurement principle

Understanding surface wettability through drop shape analysis.

The CA-1M determines the contact angle by analyzing the shape of a sessile drop resting on a solid surface. The equilibrium between surface tension, gravity and the interaction between the liquid and the substrate defines the drop profile, allowing accurate determination of surface wettability and surface free energy.
